Privacy Policy
Effective: September 14, 2026 · Last updated: September 14, 2026
This policy applies to all Android applications published by Silver Dempa (silverdempa.com) on the Google Play Store. It describes what information our apps handle, what leaves your device, and the choices you have.
The short version: we have no server and no accounts. We do not collect, store, or receive your personal information. Your camera feed and your photos are processed entirely on your device. Our apps do show banner ads from Google AdMob, and Google collects some device information to serve them — that is described in full below. You can pay once to remove the ads; Google handles that payment and we never see your payment details.
Our apps at a glance
| App | Package | Ads | Data collected by us |
|---|---|---|---|
| Pixel Cam | com.silverdempa.pixelcam |
Google AdMob banners, removable by a one-time in-app purchase (see Advertising and Purchases) | None — the camera preview and your photos are processed entirely on your device and are never uploaded |
If an app is not listed as showing ads, it contains no advertising SDK and the Advertising section below does not apply to it.
Information we collect
We do not collect, store, or transmit your personal information. Our apps do not require an account, do not ask you to sign in, and do not send your photos, videos, or other content to us or to any server we control. We operate no servers and receive no analytics, crash reports, or usage data about you.
Camera and photos
Pixel Cam needs access to your device's camera in order to work: it converts the live camera preview into pixel art in real time so you can frame the shot you're going to get. Android asks for your permission the first time, and you can revoke it at any time in Settings > Apps > Pixel Cam > Permissions.
- The camera is used only while you are using the app to preview or take a picture. It is not accessed in the background.
- Camera frames and the images made from them are processed entirely on your device. They are not uploaded to us, to Google, or to anyone else.
- Nothing is saved unless you choose to save it. When you do, the image is written to your device's own storage or photo library, where it is yours to keep, move, or delete like any other photo.
- If you share a picture from the app, it is handed to the app you pick (messaging, email, social) and that app's own privacy policy then applies to it.
- Our apps do not access your contacts, location, or microphone.
Advertising
Apps marked as showing ads in the table above display banner advertisements served by Google AdMob, a third-party advertising service provided by Google. To serve and measure those ads, Google may collect and process information from your device, including:
- Device information (such as device model, operating system version, and screen properties)
- Your device's advertising ID (a resettable identifier used for advertising)
- IP address, and general (coarse) location inferred from it
- Ad interaction data (such as which ads were shown and tapped)
This collection is performed by Google under its own policies, not by us — we receive only aggregate, non-identifying earnings reports. Your photos and camera preview are never shared with AdMob or used to target ads. For details on Google's handling of this data, see Google's Privacy Policy and How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.
Your choices: on Android you can reset your advertising ID or delete it entirely, and opt out of ads personalization, at any time under Settings > Google > Ads (or Settings > Privacy > Ads on some devices). You can also remove the ads entirely with the one-time in-app purchase described in Purchases — after that, the app no longer requests or displays ads.
Purchases
Pixel Cam offers a one-time in-app purchase that removes the ads. It is optional; the app is fully usable without it.
- The purchase is handled entirely by Google Play Billing. You pay Google, in Google's own checkout flow. We never see or receive your payment method, card number, billing address, or name.
- To know whether to hide the ads, the app asks Google Play whether this device's Google account owns the item. That check goes to Google; the result is stored as a simple flag on your device.
- Because the purchase is tied to your Google account rather than to an account with us, it is restored automatically when you reinstall the app or set up a new device.
- Google shows us order records in the Google Play Console — an order number, the product, the date, the country, and refund status — so that we can handle refunds and see sales totals. These records do not tell us who you are, and we do not combine them with anything else.
- Google's handling of the payment is covered by Google's Privacy Policy and the Google Play terms you accept at checkout.
Data sharing and selling
We do not sell your data and we do not share it with third parties, because we do not collect it. The only third parties involved in our apps are Google AdMob (in the apps marked as showing ads in the table above) and Google Play Billing, if you choose to make an in-app purchase.
Data retention and deletion
Because we hold no data about you, there is nothing for us to retain or delete. Anything the app stores — your saved pictures and your in-app settings — lives only on your device. You can delete pictures from your photo library at any time, and uninstalling the app removes all of its locally stored app data. If you would like to request deletion of data you believe we hold, contact us at the address below and we will respond.
Records of any in-app purchase are held by Google as part of your Google Play account history. We cannot delete them on your behalf; Google's own retention policies apply, and you can review your purchase history in the Google Play Store app.
Permissions we request
- Camera — required, to show the live pixel-art preview and take pictures.
- Photo library / storage access — only where your version of Android requires it to save a picture you asked to save.
- Internet — used to load banner ads and to check with Google Play whether you own the ad-free purchase. No photos, camera data, or other app content is ever sent over it.
- Billing (
com.android.vending.BILLING) — required by Google Play to offer the optional in-app purchase.
Children
Our apps are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through our apps, please contact us and we will address it.
Security
Since our apps do not transmit your personal data to us, the only copy of your data stays on your device, protected by your device's own security measures.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will post the updated version at this address and update the date at the top. Material changes will be reflected in the app's Google Play store listing where required.
